Our MVP (Most Valuable Pioneer) for the month of December is: EVERY. SINGLE. STAFF MEMBER!
It's hard to imagine that we've made it this far with in-person schooling, and finding our way through bumps and bruises to deliver virtual instruction well also. So much is new this year, and learning new things is never easy...but we continue to find our way. It's what Pioneers do. Thank you to bus drivers, the first to see our kids each morning and welcome them. Thank you to our custodial and maintenance staff for warm, clean facilities every single day. Thank you to our food service staff for hot meals and plenty of good choices each day. Thank you to our paraprofessionals for their never-ending efforts to support our learners. Thank you to our interventionists, working harder than ever to see that all the pivotal skills are mastered in a safe environment. Thank you to our health care team for their efforts to keep us here safely and follow health department guidance. Thank you to our secretaries & clerks for keeping accurate records, and a warm, inviting atmosphere in our district. Thank you to the central office staff for efforts to keep up with every new mandate & meet employee needs so they can meet student needs. Thanks to our technology staff for working tirelessly to keep everything in working order, and support learning in a variety of platforms. Thank you to teachers for the incredible energy and enthusiasm in a year of remarkable change, and for setting the "we can do this" tone for everyone. Thank you to administrators for not taking days off...for supporting staff, students, and families and finding solutions for problems.
When these folks say "I'm glad you're here today" to our students, they're conveying the messages that EVERY student is valued, that we're committed to staying connected to EVERY student, and that EVERY student belongs. This is a big part of what makes Clare a great place to live and learn.
Merry Christmas everyone, and thank you to the staff at CPS for valuing every single person, and getting us right where we needed to be...here and now. Well done.
