Dual enrollment is a program in which students can enroll in a college class while still in high school. A student can elect to take a course for both college and high school credit, or college credit only.
The State School Aid law requires local school districts to pay tuition and fees of a high school student attending a post secondary institution when the following dual enrollment conditions are met:
- Students have good attendance and a good academic history.
- Students must be enrolled in both the school district and post secondary institution during the school districts regular academic year and must be enrolled in at least 1 academic class.
