Dear Clare Middle School Families,

We are just one week away from the start of school! We are so excited to welcome our students back and see all of their smiling faces! Below, you will find important information to help your family prepare for a successful start to the school year. Please feel free to contact our office with any questions.

Open House Information: We invite you to join us for the Clare Middle School Open House on August 19th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This will be a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to become familiar with our school, meet teachers, and learn what to expect during the upcoming school year. Families will receive locker information, locate classrooms, meet staff, and gather important information to help prepare for a successful 2026–2027 school year.

Middle School Volleyball: 7th & 8th Grade Volleyball Tryouts will begin on Monday, August 24, from 12:00–2:00 PM. Just a reminder that all students participating in Clare Middle School sports must have a current physical on file before tryouts begin.

Picture Day: School Pictures will be taken by Guys and Dolls again this school year! Families will be able to order pictures after picture day, and ordering information will be sent via email. There is no need to bring money to school, as all orders will be completed online. Picture retakes will be held on September 29, 2026. Please contact the office if you have any
questions.

First Day of School: The first day of school is Monday, August 24th. Please note that it will be a half day, with dismissal at 11:39 AM. Schedules will be provided to students that morning for those unable to attend the open house.

Skyward: Your student’s schedule, grades, and general information are available on Skyward after August 19th. It is accessible through the Clare Public Schools website. Being active on Skyward gives all stakeholders including students, parents, and staff the opportunity to stay informed and support our learners every step of the way. If you need any assistance with your Skyward account, please contact our office and we can assist.

Supplies: There is a general (not required) supply list posted on the Clare Middle School website. We know many families are looking forward to preparing for the upcoming school year and gathering supplies. The list can be accessed in the News section of our website for your convenience.

Hello Clare Middle School Families!

Our students are preparing to demonstrate all the hard work they’ve put into their learning this year. We want to ensure every child feels confident and supported during the upcoming PSAT and M-STEP testing windows.

To plan ahead, here is the testing schedule broken down by grade level:

5th Grade April 14, April 16, April 21, and April 23

6th Grade April 15 and April 22

7th Grade April 28 and April 30

8th Grade April 14 (PSAT 8), April 21, and April 23

Please ensure students arrive at school promptly so they can enjoy breakfast and settle in before testing begins. We are so proud of the progress our students have made this year. Thank you for your continued support in making these testing days a positive experience for them!
